Theory refresher module (1 hour)
- Regulatory developments and updates to the State-Regions Agreement of 22 February 2012
- Analysis of the most frequent accidents in forklift truck operation: causes and preventive measures
- Updates on maintenance, periodic inspections and vehicle documentation
- Emergency management: breakdown, overturning, fire on board
Practical tests (3 hours)
- Review of the fundamental manoeuvres: loading, unloading, stacking
- Exercises on critical situations: narrow routes, ramps, unstable loads
- Emergency manoeuvre and controlled stopping test
- Individual practical assessment with training feedback
Objectives
To renew and consolidate the skills of operators who are already qualified, to update their regulatory and technical knowledge, and to verify that practical safe-driving abilities have been maintained, in compliance with the five-yearly obligations set out in the State-Regions Agreement of 22 February 2012.
