Health surveillance is the set of medical activities aimed at protecting the health and safety of workers in relation to the working environment, occupational risk factors and the way the work is carried out. It is an obligation on the employer in the cases set out in Article 41 of Legislative Decree 81/2008.
What we do
Forgest provides a network of occupational physicians coordinated across the country and takes care of the whole health process: from the appointment to the definition of the health protocol, through to the management of examinations and fitness-for-work assessments.
The health protocol is calibrated on the actual risks of each job role as they emerge from the Risk Assessment Document: we define the tests, their frequency and any specialist examinations according to the real exposure of the workers.
Examinations and fitness for work
We manage medical examinations: pre-employment, periodic, at the worker’s request, on a change of job role and on return after a prolonged absence. Every examination closes with a fitness-for-work assessment and with the management of any requirements or restrictions, recorded in the health and risk record (Annex 3A) kept in digital form.
The occupational physician also carries out the inspection of the workplaces required by law, working closely with the workplace safety service.
