Theory review and regulatory updates (1 hour)
- Regulatory developments: updates to the Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021 and to the Fire Prevention Code
- Analysis of real incidents in low-risk settings: causes and lessons learnt
- Update of company procedures: emergency plan, escape routes, assembly point
- Frequent errors in the use of extinguishers and in managing evacuation
Practical exercise (1 hour)
- Visual check of fire safety equipment: extinguishers, signage, emergency exits
- Extinguishing exercise with portable extinguishers
- Evacuation drill with timing of the clearance times
Objectives
To keep the skills of level 1 fire safety officers up to date, to take on board the regulatory developments introduced over the five-year period and to consolidate operational readiness in managing emergencies in companies classified as low fire risk.
