Programme
Theory review and regulatory updates (2 hours)
- Updates to the Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021 and to the Fire Prevention Code
- Changes to fire risk assessment procedures in companies classified as medium risk
- Analysis of real incidents: dynamics, causes, operating errors and corrective measures
- Updates on fixed extinguishing and detection systems
- Review of the company emergency plan and of the officer’s responsibilities
Practical exercises (3 hours)
- Use of portable extinguishers on class A and class B fires: correct techniques and errors to avoid
- Use of hydrants and hose reels: connection, opening and directing the jet
- Evacuation simulation including the management of people with impaired mobility
- Coordination drill between the emergency team and the arriving Fire Brigade
- Debriefing: analysis of performance and points for improvement
Objectives
To update and strengthen the skills of level 2 fire safety officers, to incorporate the regulatory developments of the five-year period and to guarantee full operational capability in the prevention and management of emergencies in companies classified as medium fire risk.
